Fun things to do with the family this spring!

Spring is finally here and now that the weather is getting warmer, I'm looking for fun things to do with the kids. Here are ten ideas!


1. CoComelon Live in Boston

CoComelon Live! JJ’s Journey, is coming to Boston on Saturday, March 26th at the Wang Theatre for 2 showings (11:00am and 3:00pm). With all the favorite characters and over 20 songs, including new original music, it's such a fun activity for toddlers who love CoComelon. This is the only stop on the New England tour so you don't want to miss out! Click here to buy tickets.


2. Providence Children's Museum

We recently took the kids to the Providence Children's Art Museum and the kids absolutely loved it. It's such a great place for kids to play and use their imaginations. Open Wednesday-Sunday 9:30-12:30 and 1:30-4:30. Click here to learn more.


3. Roger Williams Park Zoo 150th Anniversary

Did you know Roger Williams Zoo is is the third oldest in the United States? Join the fun on April 3rd to celebrate the 150th anniversary. Visitors will enjoy $1.50 admission, entertainment and more surprises.


4. Pick your own tulips at Wicked Tulips


If you haven't heard about New England's largest U-pick tulip farm, you NEED to check out Wicked Tulips. Located in Exeter, RI and Preston, CT, their fields feature thousands of colorful tulips starting around the end of April that you get to pick yourself to take home to enjoy! 5. Jamestown Playground

If you're looking for a fun playground in RI close to the beach, check out Jamestown Community Playground. This playground is huge, fenced in, and fun for a variety of ages. The Village Hearth Bakery and Cafe is right across the street to stop in for a treat and a coffee before or after the kids play.


6. Biomes Marine Biology Center

For a fun indoor activity, check out Biomes Marine Biology Center. The Biomes Center is New England's only private marine education facility and the most hands-on aquarium in the region. Click here for more info.


7. Sachuest Wildlife Refuge

If you are looking for a fun and easy nature walk with the family, Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge in Middletown is the place to be. More than 200 bird species visit the refuge seasonally, and other occasional migrating travelers include the peregrine falcon, northern harrier, as well as snowy and short-eared owls. Walking the nearly 3 miles of trails around Sachuest Point offers visitors the opportunity to experience several habitats where interesting animals and plants can be observed and photographed. 8. Touch a Truck at Seven Cedars Farm

For toddlers who love trucks, check out Seven Cedars Farm! Touch a truck is coming on Saturday, May 21st. Click here for more info.


9. 14th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Casey Farm

Bring your children to Casey Farm in Saunderstown, RI for some springtime family fun, complete with a candy-filled egg hunt. Explore the farm, visit the chickens, play farm games, have some light refreshments, and make some crafts. Egg hunts are for children in age groups from 0-4, 5-7, and 8-12 years old. 10. Easter Bunny Portraits at Garden City Center

Hop over to Garden City Center for a springtime photo op in the bunny’s burrow! Come visit the Easter Bunny in our cabin located right outside the Garden City Center Gazebo and get your photo taken! Click here to register.
