I love to support local Rhode Island businesses and spread the word as much as possible. After what this past year looked like, it’s so important to consider local businesses for any purchase, whether it’s a bakery or a moving company. I’ve rounded up some local Rhode Island businesses to highlight that are all in high demand as we kick off the summer season.

Wicked Tulips

If you haven't heard about New England's largest U-pick tulip farm, you NEED to check out Wicked Tulips and do it fast! Located in Exeter, RI and Preston, CT, their fields feature thousands of colorful tulips that you get to pick yourself to take home to enjoy! I go every year and each time I'm blown away by the beauty of them. It's such a fun experience and one you don't want to miss. According to their Instagram, it looks like their Exeter location will only be open for one more week so purchase your tickets before they close for the season! Rhode Island Luxury Picnics is a new local business that will leave you memories that last a lifetime! South County Bread Company is a new bread company owned by Jeff Collins located at 333 Main St in Wakefield, RI. Jeff is proud to provide the community with hand-crafted, artisan breads such as sourdough, cranberry nut, and rosemary monterey jack. South County Bread's goal is to upload a promise they'll always create the best product, using the best ingredients for ultimate flavor. Their bread is free of additives and preservatives and they also source as much as possible from local farms and vendors. For those with a sweet tooth, don't forget to also pick up some delicious, fresh baked items such as chocolate croissants!

Cookie lovers, listen up! Cobblestone Cookie Company was created by a nurse named Kristen Whitlock who has a passion for making delicious homemade cookies. She makes personalized cookie boxes for any and all occasions! Some of my favorites on her cookie menu is espresso/cocoa chocolate chip, lemon shortbread, and snickerdoodle. The Blissful B Shop

The Blissful B Shop creates custom label soy candles that are hand poured in Rhode Island. They are non-toxic and dye & metal-free. Their fragrances sound delightful - they recommend sea salt & orchard, honeysuckle jasmine, and lavender as some of their best fragrances for spring and summer. The Pour House

New coffee shop alert! The Pour House is a new coffee shop located in the Pier Market Place in Narragansett (where Dunkin Donuts used to be). Visit them to try their exceptional coffee and tea, especially their delicious lattes! This is the perfect place to stop before you hit up the beach this summer. And here's a little secret - every weekend they offer PVD donuts so you don't have to make the drive to Providence!

Crosswynd Traders

While you're in Narragansett, you have to stop at Crosswynd Traders, Narragansett's best kept secret! Located at 1175 Boston Neck Road, they are open every day 10-5 and offer popular brand name clothing for less. Tops, shorts, dresses, comfy joggers, Narragansett sweatshirts, shoes, you name it! They also offer shipping so if you don't live close by that is an awesome option to still shop at this amazing boutique!
